Having been told by a large door company that my 5 door bifold doors were not repairable and that the hinges had been discontinued I came across DWLG after searching online and am really glad to have found them. "Wow. I wished I'd found this company sooner. Dean is a profferessional and a perfectionist. New hinges fitted to my French doors and kitchen door. These door now work better than they ever did even when new. Dean explained that the glass in the doors was out of square since the original install nearly 20 years ago. That has skewed my doors. As a consumer we do not know when a new install is badly done. If you have the slightest problem with a door get Dean round and get them. Sorted. Reasonably priced highly experienced and a consumate professional and perfectionist. He and his accomplice are both very nice people too."

"I was a little concerned about getting my bi-folding x 6 doors working again 10 years after installation. Dean Hopkins took a long look and immediately knew what to do. Doors came off (heavy wooden) and within a few hours they were all back in place, serviced, oiled, rehung and re-aligned. Now they open/close and run in the framework better than when new. Well worth the cost as any alternative could be much more. Plus Dean and his mate are friendly/nice guys and reassuring to have on the case."

Despite being busy they fitted us in with an appointment within a couple of weeks and outlined what may need doing upfront to give me an idea of costs. I had issues with my poorly installed bi-fold door (installed by a different company) as the hinges had broken (or so i thought) and door woudn't shut properly. Found this company on the internet and rang them up. My first contact was a lady by the name Emma, who asked me to take pictures and email to them for assesment. Got back to me sameday with a quote and offered me a slot once i decided to go with them. The guys turned up as agreed and were very professional in the manner they carried out their work. What i found most heartwarming was the honesty of these guys. The quote i got was for re-alignment and hinge replacement but when they came over to fit the door, i was told the hinge didn't require any change and that alone saved me over £100. "The bottom runner in my Solarlux bi-fold doors had snapped and the door could not close properly. I initially engaged another company (not DWLG) to fix it. They took weeks even to identify the part that was required, saying that this was due to the pandemic. When they did identify the part, they asked for payment in full upfront, before they would even order the part, for which there would be an indeterminate lead-time estimated as at least 8 weeks. I looked for an alternative - DWLG identified and sourced the missing part within hours, they were responsive and informative throughout, and fixed the doors within a matter of days from first contact. I probably shouldn't say this but they were also significantly less expensive than the first company I contacted. They were so polite, efficient, knowledgeable when they came round to do the job. "Extremely cost effective and helpful. My old bi-folding door was left with a poor installation resulting in broken roller hinge. Having made numerous phone calls, only Mr Hopkins from DWLG was able to offer help after looking at the picture. Others consider bi-folding door repair a dangerous business to be involved in. Joe and Laurence were very respectful and helpful. They came with an exact replacement hinge required and did the repair and readjustment. My wife was very impressed with their professionalism and the area was left neat and tidy after the job. We were also offered after-care for 6 months free of charge. "We contacted DWLG (Dean), when our bifold door broke off itÔÇÖs runners with a broken castor. They were older doors, fitted by a previous owner, but we didnÔÇÖt want to have to replace them just yet, nor could we find replacement parts anywhere. Dean quoted for the job, confident heÔÇÖd be able to track down a part that would work. Unfortunately, despite efforts, no suitable part was found. But rather than leave us with an unusable and non-secure door, the team got the door back on its rollers, moved some of the existing wheels about to balance the weight, and got us a workable, lockable door. All at no cost because he felt they hadnÔÇÖt completed the fix they had agreed to. Hopefully this will see us through another year or two before we need to replace the doors, when weÔÇÖll be back to DWLG for a quote.
